Matt and Rebekah volition continue their Seed & Silo release with a run of Arizona shows featuring their trio, along with solo performances past Pacific Northwest multi-instrumentalist Jack Dwyer on guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Jack records and performs original music nether his own proper noun and works as a freelance picker with some of the nearly respected Northwest and nationally-based musicians, including Tony Furtado, Scott Law, Darol Acrimony, and others. A New year's day of Music!
Happy 2019 from your favorite musical runners! It'due south been an exciting flavor of music the past few months and we wanted to accept a minute to give you a meridian into some of the things that accept kept us busy. Nosotros merely finished a xiv bear witness run at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, AZ - one of our favorite events every year called Las Noches de las Luminarias. We know we oasis't been touring as heavily the past year, then it may accept been a infinitesimal since nosotros were in your town. We wanted to share some of the upcoming shows and news for everyone in the ring.
Bekah and Mattrecorded and produced Bekah'south latest tape,Seed & Silo, which she completed equally an artist-in-residence for the National Parks at Homestead National Monument. The CD was released July 2018 by Heaven Island Records and is bachelor for streaming and purchase. The album was recently named one of the Height three Folk releases of the year by Popular Matters and was recognized by the Tucson Weekly as ane of best local albums of the year in 2018. Follow Bekah's music at her website here. They have a weekend of upcoming Jan shows in Arizona and will be touring in the Midwest (June) and Northwest (September). In improver to collaborating with a lot of Tucson artists, Matt has also been working for an arts not-profit in Tucson,Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Brotherhood, and was voted in equally a board member for the Tucson Folk Festival. They will both be teaching at the new Roots and Boots music army camp virtually Flagstaff, Arizona in June 2019.
Jen tied the knot with her guitar-strumming boyfriend, Peter, in summertime 2018 and is still living in Portland, OR where she has been active in the local arts scene. She started a new theater troupe, The Absentees, this past year and recently completed a series of stellar shows with the Ralph Radio Theater company product, "Christmas From Habitation".
Grace has finished a new EP under her stage name,Rising Dominicus Daughter, and that record is set to be released in early 2019. She has a few upcoming shows in the Southwest (LA, Phoenix), and then follow her Facebook folio here for evidence details.
We're looking frontward to being educational Artist-in-Residents once more at the Musical Musical instrument Museum again in May. We'll transport out bear witness announcements when we go back to your role of the state. Cheers for all your support for us and our continued artistic projects! Hope to see yous at a testify soon.
